“The Library” Program broadcasts about “Lightnings do not Struck Bushes”

Short after the official promotion of “Lightning Do not Struck Bushes” Georgi Tenev from “The Library” Program on the National Bulgarian Television interviewed prof. Ivaylo Znepolski, derector of the Institute for Studies of the Recent Past and Assoc. Prof. Daniela Koleva, editor of the book and oral history expert. They talked about the project, the Institute and how they respond to current social and history issues.

“The Library” is a 30 minute show, an open forum for literature and readers. Commentators, critics and just readers give an account of the present Bulgarian publishing market. Special accent in the program is the relation between publicity and fiction, author and ethics, literature and social criticism.

Prof. Znepolski gathers memories about communism, 24Hours Daily

Today at the Centre for Culture and Debate “Red House” takes place the public promotion of the first book of the Institute for Studies of the Recent Past, headed by Prof. Ivaylo Znepolski. The Institute has operated for the last year and a half in complete secrecy. “Lightning Do not Struck Bushes“, volume from the Past Continuous Series is an anthropological survey conducted by Daniela Koleva on the topic “Communism and life stories”. It contains 37 testemonies, which bring us back in time by the memories of people from Bela Rechka village, Koprivshtitsa and Rousse.
