Awarded History Teachers

As a result of the call announced earlier this spring on the topic “Political System and Social Policy of People’s Republic of Bulgaria: Social and Ethnic Groups under Positive and Negative discrimination” the Institute for Studies of the Recent Past received interesting and provoking projects touching different aspects of the discriminating communist rule.

On the 14th of June a Selection Committee chaired by Prof. Ivaylo Znepolski with members Assoc. Prof. Michail Gruev (Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”) and Assoc. Prof. Lachezar Stoyanov (New Bulgarian University) awarded five of the teachers for the following mid-school lessons:

The INSTITUTE FOR STUDIES OF THE RECENT PAST

announces the following calls for:

  • Biographies, authentic diaries and documents from the communist period in Bulgaria.
    8 awards will be granted on the amount of 1000 BGN.

Deadline for submission: May 15, 2011

  • The Institute will also purchase authentic photos form the 40-ies, 50-ies and 60-ies. Each photograph will be paid 50 BGN.

Call for mid-school teachers for the development of a history lesson on the topic: “Political System and Social Policy of People’s Republic of Bulgaria: Social and Ethnic Groups under Positive and Negative discrimination”
